Stirred Cells

Advantec offers a range of stirred cells that utilize a tangential flow process for the filtration of biological samples.  A tangential flow design increases membrane life and sample throughput.  All contact surfaces are non-metal and offer low protein binding.  The transparent plastic reservoir allows for fluid level and sample condition to be visually monitored.  The removable top cap in the smaller models and the sample port in the UHP76+ models, allow the sample to be added during filtration.

The stirred cell is ideal for applications such as desalting and concentrating proteins, enzymes, virus and other bioligical samples. Also useful in filtering fluids that contain a heavy particle burden e.g. bacteria, silts.

Note:  Only models UHP25K, UHP43K, UHP62K, and UHP76K made of polysulfone materials are autoclavable.
