Models with neoprene base should not be exposed to high temperatures for long periods of time. Note: O-rings containing silicone rubber should not be operated extensively at temperatures over 250° F (121° C). Maximum operating pressure: The maximum pressure at 100° C is engraved on a permanent plate on the side of the vessel. At higher temperatures the maximum operating pressure is decreased (see table below). Optional relief valve set to 100 psi (7 bar). Low positive pressure: A pressure of 15 psi (1.0 bar) or greater should be sufficient to seal the pressure vessel under most conditions. However, the optional vacuum closure may be required at pressures under 30 psi (2.1 bar) if operating at low temperatures or with the stiffer types of O-rings such as Viton. Negative pressure (vacuum): The optional vacuum closure adapter is required to seal vessel when working with negative pressure. Maximum negative pressure with optional vacuum closure, 29 in Hg (1.0 bar). Maximum Operating Pressure in psi and bar
